Ciao everyone! In November, I will be in the US to do some concerts as a duo with flutist Vanni Montanari. We will perform several concert programs with music by the following composers: Nielsen, Sollima, Mahoney, Riley, Miyaghi, Aki, Takemitsu, Raats, Guastavino, Piazzolla.

Vanni Montanari and Donato D’Antonio have been playing together since 1996, taking part in festivals and musical events in Europe, Japan and USA. They have focused their work on flute and guitar repertoires which include: the 18th century “biedermaier” and opera (Rossini, Schubert, Carulli, Molino, Giuliani, Sarti); the Latin American music of the major artists (Villa-Lobos, Gnattali, Piazzolla, Assad, Domeniconi, Ginastera, Guastavino); the repertoire going from the 20th century music to contemporary music (Ravel, Rodrigo, De Falla, Badinks, Shankar, Bartok, Beaser, Corea, Ourkouzounov, Riley, Raats, Mahoney); a repertoire dedicated to Japan (Takemitsu, Bozza, Falcon, Ogawa, Aki, Miyaghi). In 2007, on the occasion of the tribute paid from Japan to the Italian sculptor Carlo Zauli, the artists dedicated him their first duo recording.
Their performances were also broadcasted live (RAI Radio Tre Suite, Radio Koper Capodistria and Radio Slovenia uno) They are deeply interested in new music and sounds; they actively participate in projects linked to contemporary artistic languages and they collaborate with various Italian composers (Benati, Samorì, Cangini, Baldi, Biscarini, Telli, Furlati, Geminiani, Luppi, Cavallone, Spinosa, Vacchi, Sollima).
